How it works

Four steps. No layout rework.

01

Upload an .idml

Drop an InDesign IDML export. Up to 500 MB. Text and layout get extracted into structured chunks. Source language is auto-detected.

02

Pick targets & models

Add one or more target languages. Pick a different provider per language — Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, or DeepL. Add per-project notes for formality and brand terms.

03

Translate by chunk

Each section is translated independently with retry-on-fail. Resumable and cancellable — one chunk failing doesn't abort the batch.

04

Review with your team

Invite editors by email and pin them to specific projects + target languages. They see only what's theirs. Every edit is tracked against the AI baseline — revert anything with one click, then download a re-packed IDML.

Teams

Bring your translators. Don't blow up your account.

Per-project, per-language

Pin an editor to "Book A · SV" and another to "Book A · DE". Each sees only what they were handed — no dashboard noise, no risk of touching the wrong file.

Change tracking, built in

The AI's first pass is preserved as a baseline. Editor saves get an "edited" marker; flip Show changes to read the original under each edit. One-click revert when the human is wrong.

Their own workspace, too

Freelance translators keep a personal admin workspace and can be members of yours, your competitor's, and three publishers' all at once. A switcher in the sidebar flips contexts; the rest of the app re-scopes.

The output

A spread, verbatim.

Every paragraph keeps its position, its style, and its surrounding context. Body type stays body type — same leading, same tracking — only the language changes. Your designer opens the .idml and recognises it.

  • Paragraph and character styles preserved
  • Master pages, swatches, table styles untouched
  • Resumable jobs — one chunk failing doesn't abort the batch
  • Per-language notes appended to the translation prompt

On the gesture line
enEnglish · source

Notice how the gesture carries weight from the shoulder, through the rib cage, and resolves at the standing hip. The whole figure is balanced on roughly six centimetres of paper — and yet it reads.

svSwedish · translated

Lägg märke till hur gestlinjen bär tyngd från axeln, genom bröstkorgen, och stannar vid det stående höften. Hela figuren balanseras på ungefär sex centimeter papper — och ändå läses den.
