Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of 21 Translate (the "Service"), operated by [COMPANY NAME]. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

21 Translate extracts text from InDesign IDML and PDF files, translates it using third-party AI providers you select, and renders a layout-preserving file you can download.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and within workspaces you own. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

3. Your content and ownership

You retain all rights to the documents you upload and to the translations produced from them. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit your content solely to provide the Service — including sending document text to the AI provider you choose. You represent that you have the rights necessary to upload your content and to share it with those providers.

4. Third-party AI providers

Translation is performed by third-party providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, DeepL). Their processing is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability, output, or practices, and machine translation may contain errors.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to process unlawful content, infringe others' rights, attempt to breach security or access other tenants' data, or overload or disrupt the Service.

6. Payment and trials

Paid translations are billed per page through our payment processor at the pricing shown at checkout. New workspaces may receive a limited number of free trial pages. Taxes, refunds, and cancellations are governed by [BILLING TERMS].

7. No translation-quality warranty

The Service and its machine translations are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that translations are accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, [COMPANY NAME] will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the [12] months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the Service.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
